About Wilkins Consulting Australia
Enter the Australian market with clarity and confidence
Expanding into Australia should be exciting - but without local insight it can quickly become expensive, slow and uncertain. We work with a select number of international clients to reduce that uncertainty early, helping leadership teams make informed decisions and take a practical first step into one of the world’s most stable markets.
Why clients choose WcA
Clients choose WcA when they need more than desktop research. They value timely, well-grounded decision support, perspectives shaped by real Australian operating conditions, and guidance on credible local advisers where that may help move things forward.
How we help
We bridge the gap between international ambition and Australian market reality by helping leadership teams:
understand what operating in Australia is likely to involve in practice
align early around key decisions and constraints
connect with credible local specialists where required
identify clear next steps from feasibility through to market entry
Most clients begin by choosing the assessment level that matches their current stage - the Free Market Entry Checklist, the Australia Entry Risk Screen, or a Free Snapshot Fit Review for the full Australia Market Entry Snapshot.
WHO WE ARE
The WcA Team
Neville Wilkins
Founder and Principal Consultant
Neville brings decades of experience across banking, finance and business leadership in Australia. He has held senior roles across every Australian mainland state and territory, giving him a practical understanding of how commercial, cultural and regulatory settings differ by region - and how those differences affect early decisions. Neville’s commercially grounded approach helps clients understand Australian operating conditions and, where appropriate, identify relevant local advisers or contacts aligned with their proposed entry pathway.
Neville’s experience spans major banks, regional banking, finance broking, financial planning, digital financial services and Australian business platform development. Over more than five decades, he has worked with corporate, commercial, SME, consumer, not-for-profit and private clients across sectors including retail, wholesale, manufacturing, import/export, professional services, property, agribusiness, horticulture, viticulture, aquaculture and fishing. This gives WcA a practical, locally grounded view of how Australian businesses, financiers, advisers and buyers assess opportunity and risk.

Our broader purpose
Quality international market entry benefits everyone.
When overseas businesses enter Australia well-prepared - with realistic expectations, compliant structures and appropriate local partnerships - they're more likely to succeed, create jobs and contribute meaningfully to the Australian economy.
Our work sits upstream of formal regulatory engagement. We help international firms arrive better informed, correctly structured and ready for productive dialogue with advisors, regulators and partners - reducing friction, failed entries and wasted capital.
By supporting only well-considered, properly scoped market entry decisions, we contribute to a stronger, more sustainable business environment in Australia.
